Intention

It is a bright sunny morning quite a change from the weather earlier this week and the winter solstice is fast approaching (December 21st). We continue to read about climate change and yet this morning I heard on the news that some emails from scientists in the UK suggest they have been exaggerating the effect we are having on the climate.

Whatever the scientists decide there is a lot we can personally do by gathering our collective energies and using positive thoughts and intentions to create the future and possibilities we want to see for ourselves and the planet. A quote from Frances Shinn "Creation comes through us not to us" Finding a place to be still and focus away from daily life helps me find my inner voice and the guidance I am seeking and I can start my day with the intention of sending love, peace, joy and harmony to all.

I was recently working on my workshops for the first quarter 2010 and found an article in the Daily Telegraph about how meditation can cut heart attacks and disease. The research has been conducted over 9 years in the US and the results showed a 47% reduction in heart attacks, strokes and deaths in the patients who were meditating.

It is wonderful to see that reaearch is backing what I personally really believe that even a small amount of meditation can really help with what some people see as the stresses and strains of everyday life. So this weekend grab yourself a bit of quiet time and relax, focus on your breath, close your eyes and just let yourself be still. Acknowledge any thoughts and let them just drift away. I also like to play some shamanic music as well.

Welcome to my world of magic, mystery and miracles

This is the start of my Blog and for me personally joining the world that others inhabit - information sharing via the web! I am not sure what I will be writing about, this is more about sharing thoughts and experiences as I continue on my spiritual journey.

My background is in business and then I discovered NLP which was the start of my journey; Time Line Therapy and Hypnosis followed and then into the more esoteric stuff with trainings in the UK, Sedona and Hawaii.

This year I am looking at European shamanism and practices and will bring a flavour of this into my future workshops and coaching and share via this Blog.

I recently purchased the book The Celtic Shaman, a practical guide by John Matthews which has lots of great information and techniques. Enjoy and more later.
